I think the hard drive disk has packed in. I could previously record and watch programs. Then one day all the programs vanished. I have tried to repair the disk through the maintenance options but it won’t allow this.
What has made it worse I bought another 2nd hand. This has programs pre recorded, I deleted them all and went to series link my own programs and now this also won’t record. Nor can you repair the disk.
Has something changed since freeview needed re scanning?
I’ve never done an update, but mit London is sisolved so not able to get on their site.

Can no longer record series only single programme
The media box is showing Empty and I cannot watch programs I have recorded in my digital stream .programs in my schedule to record are not going into media.is it time to buy anew recorder or is there a simple solution Being 77 I am not very tech.

I have a digital stream and when i record a program then watch it back it keeps jumping and sometimes gets stuck.
I have tried switch of at the back and the mains
I have deleted all programmes on the disc
Tried repair disc
Also restore factory settings
None of these have worked,I have never done any updates on it not sure if this has anything to do with it??
Please can anyone help before it goes in the skip.

Whilst recording a program, the recording doesn't stop automatically when the program ends, so has to be stopped manually, either by switching off at the wall or by cancelling the program or the series link to the program.
Also, on the majority of recorded programs the fforward and reverse speed is no quicker than x4, or in some cases freezes.
Not sure whether a firmeware update would alleviate these problems, as a update has never been done. But can't see a link for an update anyway.
Any help appreciated!

Unit says it's recording but I can't find them!?!
The disk had become full and so I deleted a number of old programs. However the box then froze during one deletion and would not respond. After a long wait I turned it off and on again, but the HDD then showed as empty and it kept freezing. At one point there was a message 'disk is faulty unable to use whilst repairing' however even having left it on overnight it is still frozen and not responding.
I am aware there is a format disk and repair disk option, however it freezes before being able to access these options.
Any ideas?
just got this box but when you are watching tv it will just go off saying bye it did it 7 times last night thanks darren

Solution 1: Update the Software and firm ware with a USB containing the latest (Beta) software:

Unzip the file and copy the files onto the USB. Put the USB into the rear of the Digital Stream box, turn the power off, wait 30sec, turn the power on again, the box will reboot and load the software, just be patient and wait until the FINISHED message is displayed. Then take the USB out of the rear of the Digital Stream box and reboot. Follow the on screen instructions to size your screen and search for channels.
