When I press the EPG button the programmes displayed only go from 700 to 804. I can only therefore record programmes in advance by using the Timers option, which, apart from being a slower method, results in the programmes coming up in the Recordings Library with just the channel and the date - no programme title or info.

Hi I have just bought my second Hitachi HDR5T01.
When I put in a programme to record all is fine.
When I watch a programme I have already recorded and run it forward to miss the adverts it takes out my new recording times for the programme I have just entered. The Bush does the same. What's all that about

I have just started to get an on-screen message stating "cannot schedule recording there is already a timer at the same time on this channel" even though no timer has been set. It disappears when OK is pressed but continually re-appears every 30 seconds. I have tried switching unit off & disconnecting from mains, hoping unit will reset but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

I HAVE TRIED TO USE THE MANUAL RECORD SO THAT CERTAIN PROGRAMMES RECORD FOR AN EXTRA 5 MINS AS THEY OFTEN RUN OVER AND THE MACHINE IS NOT SOPHISTICATED ENOUGH TO PICK UP ON THIS. HOWEVER, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I MAKE THE CHANGE, THE SYSTEM KEEPS FLIPPING THE MANUAL RECORD BACK TO THE AUTO EPG SETTINGS - EVEN WHEN I HAVE PRESSED SAVE. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!! IT'S DRIVING ME MADDDDD!!!!

Having problems with series record. Also has been recording the wrong program although set to record the correct one. Does anyone know if this is a common software issue with this unit. Also a yellow box sometime appears over a red box when checking the EPG for series recording items. Thought this may mean it is a series record item. Any help would be applicated.

Set machine to record programme for series link, timer shows list of recordings to be made. However next day timer only shows programme name with no date or time, but with an S (showing series)and fails to record. Changed the machine 3 times but still have the same problem.The machine records programmes set for the current day, but as yet have been unable to record dates in the future.

Colours are awful - mainly blue and green - how do I alter

Initially unit installed and worked perfectly for one day. Next day it wouldn't work at all - 'no signal' appearing on screen and TV not responsive. I replaced the aerial lead between TV and unit. TV now works but unit not responsive although LED display is lit up.

Box won't go on green light flashing

The recorded picture seems to alternate between a slight blur then clear,interval are like a ticking clock,its only a slight deteriation of the picture but once your tuned into it becomes quite anoying !!!

Solution 1: Have solved this by doing a first-time installation - menu, settings (the spanner icon),installation then first time installation.
