Recordings keep failing. Sometimes when I record a programme, I get an error message and I lose the recording.
Picture keeps stuttering and is blocky and pixellated.

(Click on a problem to comment or help)I have a B&O PLAY V1 television and a Humax HDR1000s recorder, my problem is that after setting a program to record and whilst watching terrestrial tv programs about 15 minutes before the recorder starts recording the freest box turns over to free sat and removes the picture. I have to press the remote TV button to get back the terrestrial program back that i am watching, this happens every time I record a free sat program. any solutions please1.
My HUMAX 1TB Freesat Box has suddenly said I have no recordings and that less than 1% of the disc is used. It also won't pause because it says "The function doesn't work while retrieving data for time shift buffer. Try again in a few seconds."
I have in fact used 92% of the disc space. I assume the recordings are actually still on the disc, but somehow inaccessible.
I'm very cross if all my recordings have gone as some were marked KEEP. I hope Humax or someone can help ...
My box often says no signal received and I cannot get any channels
When I turned on my box today all the recordings have vanished but it still suggests that I have used up the space that the recordings had taken, if that make sense.

I am having problems with recording one programme while watching another. If I schedule a recording then on the channel I am watching when recording is due to start is displayed an error message 'Programme conflict' and I am offered the choice of either cancelling the recording or stopping the channel I'm watching. However, if I select a channel and then record it I can watch another channel without affecting the recording. Both feeds from the sat dish are showing as being at full strength.
After working perfectly for 6 months my1000s refuses to start up. The power in is functioning normally but no red light at the front.
need to do a factory reset but have lost pin number
my 1000s is connected with 2 cables,yet says connected with one,and will only record 2 programmes at the same time on occasions

Solution 1: It can be extremely frustrating when this happens. Most of the time, there isn't much you can do other than turn it off and then on again, at the mains if the power button isn't responding.
However, there are a few things you can check to help prevent it in the future. Number one is check how hot it is. Freezing can happen when the unit isn't properly ventilated or is in a hot place. Make sure all the vents are uncovered and there is nothing on top of it.
You might also want to check for system updates.
Finally, you might consider turning the unit off and then on again regularly to reboot it. Freezing often occurs when it has been running for a long time, so once a week or so you could try to reboot it by switching it off and on. If you don't want to do this yourself, you might consider buying a timer switch to do this for you at a time you know you won't be using the machine, e.g. 4AM.

Solution 1: Recordings fail for a number of reasons. If you schedule the recording and it records - but records the wrong thing - the box might be tuned to two different regions. Reset the channels and manually tune them if you suspect this to be the case.
If the unit is on a series record but has missed the programme, check the programme guide to see if future episodes are being recorded. It may have identified the programme as a different series for some reason, so set a series link on any future episodes that are not being recorded.
Other failed recordings can show a problem with the unit. One or two failed recordings do not necessarily mean that your unit has a fault - it could be due to a power cut or your box could have (unluckily!) frozen or crashed prior to the start of the programme.
However, if there are numerous failed recordings and it continues to occur even though you can watch TV OK, it sounds like a problem with the hard disk and this will need to be either repaired or replaced.
